Since 1958, TURANLAR MAKİNA A.Ş. has manufactured woodworking machinery with a focus on quality and innovation. With more than 45,000 machines reaching over 119 countries and over 30 dealers, it offers a wide service network on a global scale.

The company takes justified pride in manufacturing its high-technology panel cutting, edge banding and postforming machines, and more, in Türkiye — designed and developed by Turkish engineers, and contributing to domestic production.

History

From 1958 to today

  1. 1958A 24 m² repair workshop
    1964Woodworking machinery production

    Turanlar Machinery traces its foundation to a small 24-square-metre repair workshop opened by Ahmet Turan in 1958. The workshop moved quickly, and in 1964 it began manufacturing woodworking machinery.

  2. The first machine produced was a sliding-table circular saw, followed by belt sanders and vertical spindle moulders. Within a short period Turanlar Machinery had put tens of thousands of machines into service for the Turkish woodworking industry, and by the early seventies it had become one of the strongest names in a rapidly growing Turkish industry.

  3. 1970sExpansion abroad
    1980Turanlar Makina San. ve Tic. A.Ş.

    In the same period the company expanded abroad, carrying out research in technologically advanced countries, principally across Europe. The goal was to manufacture automatic machines built to European standards. That goal was met: Turanlar Machinery began producing durable, high-quality machines able to compete with European manufacturers. Since 1980 it has operated as Turanlar Makina San. ve Tic. A.Ş.

  4. 1983Türkiye’s first edge banding machine

    In 1983, as the country entered a period of rapid development, demand concentrated on edge banding machines. Having followed the world’s trade fairs closely and prepared for exactly this, Turanlar Machinery moved swiftly into the field and produced the first edge banding machine in Türkiye.
